Former NFL punter Chris Kluwe fired from high school coaching job after calling MAGA a ‘Nazi movement’

Former NFL punter Chris Kruwe said he was fired from his job as a California high school soccer coach after a speech at a city council meeting called the Maga.

“If you want to know what Maga is doing to the community, you've been fired as a freshman football coach,” Kurwe said. I wrote it on Bluesky Thursday. “They don't care what helps people because schools certainly don't want to find former NFL players willing to coach them there at that level. They just try to hurt people.”

Kluwe later told CNN that the school fired him because the incident “feeds too much attention.”

Kruwe was arrested last week at a Huntington Beach City Council meeting and was protesting Huntington Beach's decision to display plaques in public libraries. The plaque was magically charming, galvanized and adventurous words, with initials spelled mag.

Videos from the conference show that Kruwe criticizes the Maga movement, calling it a “Nazi movement,” and saying he is engaging in civil disobedience. Kruwe later went before the meeting and the police handcuffed him and led him.

A few days later, Kluwe appeared on CNN, but he did not retreat From his stance.

“We believe Nazi Germany is on the path that has gone down under Hitler,” he said. “And I say as a major in political science and history, as a researcher of history, and the similarities are very clear.”

“There were a lot of very good Germans who believed Hitler would have their best interests in mind. And I think there are a lot of good Americans who think Trump has their best interests in mind. But what this administration is showing is already shown – I'm very confident that Trump doesn't think of their best interests.”

On Wednesday, Kruwe said he hopes other officials will “begin to engage in civil disobedience.”

“I want our elected Democratic officials to begin engaging in civil disobedience,” he told the Daily Pilot. “People need to be aware that what's going on in this administration is really bringing us down a dark path. No one is going to stomp it right now, so if I want to ask them for it, I have to be willing to do it too.”

Kluwe also told TMZ he would consider running for public office.

Kluwe punted for the Minnesota Viking from 2005-12.
