CNN's Chief International Anchor Christian Amanpoor said on Friday that after an oval office meeting with President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Voldy Mil Zelensky, he entrusted Russian President Vladimir Putin to shout “the only winner.”
Host Dana Bash said, “Amazing. It's just amazing. That, uh, it was something.”
Bash said as Amanpool held her face in her hand. “Look at her face. I mean, Christian, take it.”
Amanpour says, “Never in the history of modern diplomacy – war, peace, anything – I have never seen anything like it before. We are just hoping for the security of the free world, and for the American people, for the Europeans, for the Ukrainian people, these two presidents will breathe and try to resolve the difference. This has become a completely personal turn to bring so much distrust and missed facts. JD Vance, who once said about Ukraine, tells Zelensky, “I don't really care what happens to Ukraine.”
She added: “It's impossible to understand what will happen next. From now on, President Putin was the only one who won.”
