British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer rejected an appeal to cancel President Trump's invitation for a national visit to the UK following an explosive oval office meeting with Ukrainian President Voldimir Zelensky on Friday.
in Interview with the BBCStarmer was asked about calls from politicians, including John Swinney, the first minister of the Scottish National Party (SNP). He said the invitation to visit the state should be cancelled after he accused President Trump of inadequately grateful for the US support of Russian aggression.
“I'm talking to SNPs and others about peace in Europe, not about trying to strengthen rhetoric without really understanding what's most important here,” Starmer said in an interview.
Starmer said his focus is on finding a resolution between two leaders who try to focus on the main focus to find peace.
“There are many different routes people can get off. One is to reinforce the rhetoric about how furious we are all,” Starge said.
They also convened the summit of European leaders on Sunday to strengthen their support for Ukraine after a chaotic meeting on Friday.

Trump has met other members of the royal family since the November election. He met Prince William in December in Paris as a presidential election after the two attended the reopening of Notre Dame.
