Long Island daycare worker allegedly pushes tot into cot, sending ‘blood gushing’

A daycare worker on Long Island pushes the 18-month-old girl's face into the bed, sending “blood squirts,” with the seams, police officers and another employee say.

Megan Marchenna, 26, of Masapequa, was working at Tutor Time Child Care and Learning Center off the Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst. He told News12.

“The last time she slammed her, the little girl slammed her into the bed. Afterwards. [the child] He hit her mouth and she began to cry,” Griffin said.

“There was blood gushing out of her mouth all over her chin,” Griffin said.

Marchena was arrested on February 28th for attack and child danger charges, and the Child Protection Service began an investigation on the same day.

She pleaded not guilty and was set at $5,000 and is scheduled to return to court on Thursday. The outlet reported.

“We're working with the authorities,” TutorTime, who placed both Marchena and its directors on administrative leave over the weekend, said.

“All staff are expected to maintain our high standards of care and do not tolerate any deviations from these standards.”
