Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) claimed on Sunday in MSNBC's “Alex Witt's Report” that President Donald Trump is “the enemy of the United States.”
Crockett said: “We're talking about Ukraine, the country that was first invaded. It starts with trying to change the fact that we don't live in a world of alternative facts, and we're trying to change the reality of who invaded. We kept saying that Trump is nothing but Putin's puppet. We kept saying that. He was on a walk with Putin. We've said it in all sorts of ways.”
She continued. “Unfortunately, there are people occupying the White House. As far as I'm concerned, he's the enemy of the United States. He has vowed his vows like everyone else in our lives. But now, when you're literally putting us in danger, everything is for what? You don't believe that an election will take place, as you don't believe that an election will take place. And I don't know what it takes to wake people up.”
Crockett added: “We don't live in a safe country when we decide that by giving everything to a personal friend known as Elon Musk, we weaken national security by removing those looking at nuclear stockpiles. We're removing all inspector generals, so we're literally lacking checks and balance around us.”
