Port St. Lucy – Brandonnimo jumped into the Grapefruitreug action a little earlier this year as this type of thing could happen.
Nemo, who is recovering from plantar fasciitis, began his exhibition season on Friday.
After all, his knee needed more time.
Nemo felt pain in his right knee on Saturday, kicking him out of Sunday's lineup, slowing his progress.
He takes it easily for a few days and hopes to reevaluate his knee on Thursday. This was three weeks before the season's opening game.
There's time and Nemo isn't worried.
“I'm not overly worried,” Nemo said he hit Monday, pitched and ran before running 70%. “In fact, today was a really good, really positive day. I'm really positive about moving this forward, but I also know it's not 100%. I was able to take it every day.”
The pain of spring occurs, but special attention is given to Nemo. Nemo has been transported since last season and has slowly accumulated plantar fasciitis, which is slowly building up before running 100%.
After playing several innings on Friday and getting two plate appearances, the progression slowed down.
Nemo still believes he is ready for opening day.

“It burned a bit on me,” Nemo said. “Snap this in the bud before taking the next step.”
Sterling Marte “it feels really good,” manager Carlos Mendoza said after making the cut during his first live batting practice on Sunday.
The next step is to “hopefully” play the game in the next few days.
It is unclear whether Marte, who has been dealing with knee pain since last summer, will play in minor or major league games, and although he may be working as DH first, the steps show progress.
The fourth outfielder/platoon DH joined Outfield Drills on Monday.
Mendoza is not sure if top prospect Drew Gilbert in Major League Camp will be in the Grapefruitreug match.
The outfielder missed most of last season due to hamstring tension.
He played recovering and playing in the end of the year and in the Arizona Fall leagues, but the Mets are cautious about his progress.
