On Monday's “Alex Marlow Show,” EPA administrator Lee Zeldin said he didn't think California's fire relief funds would be a blank check, and the Trump administration is already beginning to come up with ideas about what the state should do.
Zeldin said: [are] It will be a conversation in weeks and months as Congress begins to debate whether supplemental funds for California's federal funds will help them recover. There [are] It will be a specific question discussed about what California is doing so that this doesn't happen again. I've already heard this conversation. Certainly it has already begun. The president is involved in coming up with ideas for his team. It's a process that's already begun. And I don't think this will result in a situation where Congress will send blank checks to California that do not take any action. ”
