‘Drop the gun! I will f**king kill you!’ Bodycam video shows cop shooting fleeing teen suspected of attempted murder

Denver Police Body cam video It shows a police officer shooting a fleeing teen suspected of attempted murder, The Denver Post reported.

Police released a bodycam video on Monday from a encounter at Paco Sanchez Park last week, adding that the teen was shot at least once in the leg, according to the post.

The second teenager was arrested on suspicion of weapons after seeing him running on video. The paper cited police and said the second teenager was “carrying Glocks in an expanded magazine and an automatic sheer.”

Officers responded to a shot spotter report from the 1300 block of Lowell Boulevard at around 10:40pm on February 24th, finding three shell casings in the area, the Denver Police Department CMDR said. Matt Clark.

Residents who called 911 about gunshots reported seeing a group of scooters and bicycles fleeing to Lowell, and officials later found a group of four boys on a scooter near West 13th Avenue and Knox Court, followed by the park, Clark said.

One official confirmed that one of the teenagers was the suspect in a shooting in early February in Denver, southwest Denver.

The officer saw the 17-year-old holding a gun in his right hand and ordered him to drop it. Officers saw him “point his shoulder at him,” and began shooting teens, Clark said.

Body cam video In the matter, the teenager runs away and the police say, “Scream to drop the f**king gun, I'll shoot you!” A total of 10 before the police fired.

The video shows police quickly catch up with the teenager – their faces are edited in the video – lying on the ground with a pool of blood visible on the sidewalk.

“Drop the gun! Drop the gun! I'll kill you! I'll kill you!” The officer screams as he approaches the suspect.

“I don't have a gun, sir!” the teen replies with an excited tone. “You guys shot me anything!”

Officers applied tourniquets to the teenager's legs and he was taken to hospital, where he was still undergoing treatment on Monday. He is expected to recover, the Post quoted Clark.

Investigators found Glock along the park's path, and the magazine found one round at the Chamber of Commerce and elsewhere in the park, the paper said.

The injured teen reported being held on suspicion of attempted murder in a shooting in early February, adding that the second teen, who was seen running on video, was arrested on suspicion of weapons. The paper cited police and said the second teenager “was carrying Glocks in an expanded magazine and an automatic sheer, so they had changed it to an automatic weapon.”

Police Chief Ron Thomas said in a news briefing that he was pleased with the actions of the officers and responded appropriately because he “supposes a serious threat to our community.”
