The Big 12 tournament began this week with women's college basketball. The court itself became a hot topic among fans.
Court design is far from traditional. The Big 12 “XII” logo doesn't just appear on the center court. It appears throughout the courts.
The “XII” logo in the court lane was designed as a light gray overlaid on the rest of the court. This is a slightly darker gray. The grey-on-gray look has drawn mixed reviews from fans online.

“I'm watching the #UCF women's basketball team compete in the Big 12 tournament. Am I the only one who thinks the court is terrible? That's one of the optical fantasies I sold as a gift from Spencer.”
“Are you trying to determine whether this court's design in the Big 12 tournament will grow into me in the next two weeks, or it's ugly,” another user posted.
One fan compared the court to DNA strands.

“The whole court that looks like a DNA strand is just going too far. There was nothing wrong with the Big 12 tournament courts last season,” Post said.
However, not all reviews were negative.
“I have bad news for 12 court hatred. The courts are actually fire!”

“The Big 12 Tournament courts are a bit cool…” another post said.
The quarterfinals of the Big 12 Women's Tournament continued on Friday, with West Virginia starting the four-game slate in a 73-69 victory over Kansas.
