An elderly, illegal alien is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Flagler County, Florida.
Jose Valerio Rodriguez, an illegal alien from Cuba, was Arrest He was charged with trafficking and sexual activity with a minor. As a result, Valerio Rodriguez is currently facing deportation from the United States.
Last month, Flagler County Sheriff's deputies contacted the 16-year-old victim after she was reported missing but returned home.
The girl told police she was with Valerio Rodriguez, who lived in the tent behind a gas station.
Following Valerio Rodriguez's arrest, deputies contacted the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and later issued detention officers seeking custody of him. Once the case passes through district court, Valerio Rodriguez is expected to be handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) agents for deportation.
“The predator was illegally living in the country and using children,” Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staley said in a statement. “He has not only got trips to Green Roof Inn, but also flights from our country. The Florida sheriff is united against criminal foreigners. We pray that child victims will receive the help they need from this attack.”
Valerio Rodriguez is being held at Flagler County Detention Facility without being held.
