Ravens re-sign Ronnie Stanley before he hit NFL free agency

Ronnie Stanley has remained this offseason.

A few days before the NFL free agency negotiations, the Ravens locked up Stanley in the near future.

The new deal for the left tackle averages $20 million. This is the eighth tie in his position.

Stanley, 30, was expected to attract strong interest from many teams in the open market.

The two-time Pro Bourler was a member of the Ravens for nine seasons, and the team drafted him in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Stanley's best year appeared in 2019, where he became Baltimore's first left tackle, reaching the All-Pro team since Hall of Fame Jonathan Ogden.

The offensive lineman suffered a left ankle injury during the 2020 season.

In the years following the injury, Stanley missed 36 games due to ankle, knee and shoulder injuries.

The Notre Dame alum has been out of his best season due to his injuries and is playing for the first time in his career in all games last year.

Stanley also ranked 12th in pass-blocking win percentage among tackles last season, blocking for Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.

Stanley stayed with the Ravens following a 50% salary cut last season, following a 2023 down year, where he had a high career in penalties.

Ravens general managers Eric DeCosta and coach John Harbaugh said they hope to be able to re-sign Stanley at the NFL Combine last month. According to ESPN.

Stanley signed on Saturday, and the Ravens have returned four starters on the offensive line since last season.
