This dirty dog was one man's best demon.
A Memphis man was shot in the leg while canoeing in bed with a female friend – and he claims that his pet dog is the person who pulled the trigger.
The unidentified man was lying in bed around 4am on Monday when a female friend was lying in bed “relaxing/speaking,” according to a case report from the Memphis Police Department.
That was when his dog seemed to jump up to join them – and things became hairy when Oreo, a one-year-old pit bull, stepped on the gun Wreg reported He identified the man as Gerald Kirkwood.
“The victim's dog jumped into the bed and stepped into the trigger guard,” the police report said.
Oreo's foot, “It ended up hitting the trigger,” drained the weapon and fired Kirkwood with his leg.
He was treated on the scene by responding to paramedics, leaving a grazing wound on his left thigh.
But before they arrived, the male gal companions set fire to fire and carried a gun with her.
“When officers asked the victim where the weapon was, he advised that a female friend had taken it when she left,” the report read.
One shell casing was recovered at the site.
Police submitted the incident as an “accidental injury.”
