Claire Kittle in shock over Kyle Juszczyk’s 49ers release

George Kittle's wife, Claire, was emotional about the 49ers cutting fullback Kyle Justzik.

Kittle and Juszczyk were teammates of the 49ers, before the 49ers informed them on Monday that they were releasing him. According to ESPN.

“Just tearing our hearts,” Claire captioned her Instagram story on Monday, drawing a photo of herself Kittle, Juschik and his wife, Christine.

“8 years. Veterinarian for 12 years. 9 consecutive Pro Bowls. 2 x All Pro. Captain of 2024 49ers.”

The 49ers save $2,926,000 on their salary cap through travel.

“That never makes sense,” Claire captioned another Instagram story. “Thank you to the Lord for bringing us in 2017. Your boy is everything an organization can dream of. I'm very proud of you.”

“It's family,” she wrote a photo of Kittle and Juszczyk on another Instagram story.

She posted some other photos of the two former teammates. Also, many replies from fans were upset about the news.

And she wasn't the only one who was upset.

Christian McCaffrey's wife, Olivia Culpo, posted those photos alongside Jusczek on her own Instagram story, captioning “Family” with a heart emoji.

Juszczyk, 33, was named to the All-Pro First Team and All-Pro second team last year in 2023-24. He has been essential to the attacks of the 49ers since his arrival in 2017.

He told ESPN last season that he plans to play again next year, regardless of which team he is with.

“I know it's not finished,” Justzik said. “I'm absolutely not playing. I saw a regression of zero. Especially, turn on the last two games and show me where I regressed.

The 49ers reportedly agreed to a three-year deal worth up to $22.5 million on Monday with tight end Luke Farrell to back up Kittle, reverting Patrick Taylor Jr. to a one-year deal.
