Rosie O'Donnell Confirmed She fled to Ireland, suggesting that politics was at least partially the reason for her immigration.
O'Donnell said she moved in January in a video posted to her official Tiktok account.
“When it's safe for all citizens to have equal rights in America, that's when we consider coming back.”
“It was so great. I have to say. People are so loving, so kind, so welcoming, and I am very grateful,” she said.
“I wasn't the one who thought I'd move to another country. That's what I decided was the best for myself and my 12 year old, and I'm here,” she added.
She suggested that if the political situation reversed, she might return to the United States.
“It was heartbreaking to see how it's become political and difficult for me personally, as we all know, individuals are political.”
“You know, I'm happy,” she added. “I miss other kids. I miss friends. I miss a lot of things about living at home. I'm trying to find a home in this beautiful country. When it's safe for all citizens to have equal rights in America, it's going to consider that we'll come back.”
O'Donnell is famous for feuding with Trump long before he became president. In 2015, in a major debate with the Republican First President, Meggin Kelly challenged Trump to his humiliation against women.
“You called for women who didn't like 'fat pigs', 'dogs', 'slobs' and 'nasty animals',” Kelly said.
“Only Rosie O'Donnell,” joking Trump.
