Brett Favre urges Aaron Rodgers to sign with Vikings

One Packers encourages another to follow his footsteps again.

Tuesday's Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Fabre encouraged Aaron Rodgers to sign with the Vikings.

It appears that Rodgers still considers them as options after time with the Jets is over.

If a 41-year-old signs in to Minnesota, it will be almost a carbon copy of Favre's NFL career.

After spending most of his career with the Packers, Fabre was traded for the Jets and played one season (2008) for the Big Apple before playing his final two seasons (2009-10) for Minnesota.

Now he wants the same thing Rodgers, who spent two years in New York after 18 years in Green Bay.

“You just have to sign them. They got a really good football team. They're loaded almost every position.” Fabre said when he appeared on The Will Cain Show. on tuesday. “They reached the playoffs last year. They have gained an incredible fan base, like the Packers. If they have the opportunity, it's a good place to win. Of course, you have to play the Packers.”

The Packers and Vikings were bitter NFC North Rivals, causing tensions when Fabre played 16 seasons in Green Bay, signing in Minnesota in 2009.

Rogers replaced Green Bay's Fabre after a deal with New York.

It is not yet clear whether Rogers actually wants to follow Brett Favre Pass.

meanwhile Athletic Michael Silver has been posted on X: “Don't rule out Aaron Rodgers and the Vikings,” the NFL network reported that the Vikings are expected to pivot to make JJ McCarthy the starter.
