NFL Draft: ESPN analyst says Shedeur Sanders gets criticized because of skin color

Shedeur Sanders is perhaps the most popular name in this year's NFL Draft, but he is not the most popular player to go to No. 1.

For a long time from 1B to 1A of Camward, Sanders has been falling into the eyes of most scouts. In fact, it's not too difficult to find anyone who says Jaxson Dart is ahead of the Sanders in the quarterback rankings.

There's no doubt that Sanders is polarized. ESPN's Ryan Clark pointed out that he heard the term “arrageous” floating around the quarterback.

“They plant these specific reports, you hear these specific things, you hear the word 'rog arrogance'. Is he rog arrogant? Just like any coach or offensive coordinator, he refluxes it as in the play at this point.

Of course, some of Sanders' popularity comes from being the son of Hall of Fame Deion, who coached him through college in both Jackson and Colorado. In some circles, it could damage his draft stock.

However, Clark added that his skin tone could be a concern for the NFL team as well.

“It's not just that he is Sanders' son. It's about the bravery he carries. It's about the fact that he looks in a certain way. It's about the fact that his skin tone can sometimes be questioned.

Sanders vented his confidence last month at the NFL scouting combine, saying history “repeated” with him.

“We went from Jackson to Colorado and changed two programs in a row. Don't you think we can come to the NFL franchise and change the program again? That's history. Always repeat,” Sanders said.

“If you're not trying to change your franchise or culture, don't get me, so you need to know that history is repeated over and over again.
