The 14-year-old was arrested with a loaded gun during a violent crash inside a Queens playground Wednesday afternoon. And the good Samaritans who intervened to stop the brawl were cut by another attacker, officers and sources said.
The teen flashed his gun around 3:40pm as he fought another young man inside the Hollis Playground on 204th Avenue and Hollis Avenue in Queens Village.
A good Samaritan discovered the boys fighting and tried to stop them. When notified to school safety officers, police said he was 192 years old and a public middle school was under the block.
At one point, a third suspect, who had not been involved in the first brawl, slashed the Samaritan behind, officers said.
The person ran away, but the gun-wielding teen was taken into custody by a school safety officer, police said.
The request was not filed immediately.
The incident followed an explosion of violence involving teens both inside and outside of high school late last month.
The 16-year-old was stabbed and injured on February 26th across from John F. Kennedy High School on Terrace View Avenue in the Marble Hill section of the Bronx.
A day ago, the 17-year-old was arrested for a gun packed in a backpack after fighting another student for social justice for a community school on East 140th Street in Motthaven, officers and sources said.
