Small red carpet events will not be attended by media where the premiere normally attends to talk to the cast and crew of the film. Disney did not respond to questions about why the Fox News Digital premiere was reduced, but the news is because the film has been caught up in controversy over the years, due to lead actress Zegler's honest views and the portrayal of the seven dwarves in the original.
Zegler has been seeking social media backlash on various occasions since the film's production began, and has taken heat for comments denounced the theme of the classic 1937 version of “Snow White.”
At Disney's D23 Expo in 2022, the actress told the media:
Zegler made other comments that destroyed what she perceived as anti-feminist crooked in the original film. The comments prompted a flood of social media reactions that denounced her and the film.

Since then, Zegler has dismissed her online critics, claiming that their reaction was merely due to her “candidity” and her opinion of being “fearless.”
Zegler called for further backlash in her reaction to the 2024 presidential election. Following Trump's victory last November, she posted on Instagram, “Trump supporters, Trump voters, Trump voters and themselves never know about peace.”
“f —Donald Trump,” she added. Shortly after sharing her post, the actress apologized, saying, “I did my best to make my feelings my best. Hate and anger have further distil us from peace and understanding.”
Zegler began another Internet Firestorm earlier that year, writing “Free Palestine,” which promotes “Free Palestine” on the X-Post for the trailer for “Sund White.” Some wondered whether the political message was a subtle excavation of film co-star Gadot. He defended Israel's homeland from anger and criticism following the attack on Hamastero on October 7th.

In addition to dramas surrounding major women, the film was delayed from its release in 2024 to 2025. Some social media users speculate that the film is being overhauled after it rebelled against progressive elements.
The film received course revisions early in production when “Game of Thrones” actor Peter Dinklage (dwarfism actor Peter Dinklage) accused him of being sensitive to portrayals of seven dwarfs in 2022.
The studio issued a statement in response, saying, “We are taking a different approach with these seven characters and consulting with members of the Dwarfism community to avoid reinforcement of stereotypes from the original animated film.”
However, the latest trailer for the film revealed that Disney chose to portray the seven dwarfs, similar to how it was portrayed in animated classics, although in CGI form. Social media users speculated that the studio had changed again after social media rebeled against the proposed portrayal of modernized characters.
