The home sheriff of a missing University of Pittsburgh student searched the young woman for five days and appointed anyone interested in the case.

Some Dominican authorities speculate that Conanki was likely drowned after leaping into the sea. After being asked to respond to it, a spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office told Fox News that he “heard this and has never seen the evidence presented at this time.”
Meanwhile, Dominican national police say they are “reviewing targeted individuals who were close to the victim at the time they lost their loss.”
“This includes employees at the hotel where Conanki and her colleagues were staying, and the goal is to gather information to support her movements, interactions and relevant details of the investigation,” Dominican authorities said.
The Dominican Republic and the FBI's US Embassy reportedly joined the Dominican National Police and the Dominican Public Prosecutor's Office in an investigation into Conanki's loss of. The young woman is an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of the United States.
Dominican police have not said whether they suspect foul play, but they noted that the Libes are helping with the investigation.
