Laken Riley Act unleashes feds to hunt Venezuelan gang members in Florida

Under the newly enacted Rayken Riley Act, 14 illegal immigrants, including suspects from the Venezuela Tren de Aragua gang, were taken off the streets last week by federal law enforcement in Florida.

A video shared by Homeland Security Survey (HSI) Miami works in parallel with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) and shows criminal aliens arrested at home during a three-day operation. Those arrested are accused of crimes such as sexual assault on minors and gangster activities with Tren de Aragua, HSI Miami said in a post on X.

“As part of its day-to-day operations, U.S. immigration and customs halts are crime-related aliens and other individuals who have violated immigration laws in our country,” an ICE spokesman told Fox News Digital in a statement Wednesday. “All foreigners who violate US immigration laws may be subject to arrest, detention and are removed from the United States regardless of nationality if they are removable by the final order.” ”

“After the Laken Riley Act failed at the 118th Congress, I have committed to the Laken Riley family to fight to ensure that the Laken Riley Act was handed over to the law so that her name could be saved.”

The name of the law honors Riley, an Augusta University nursing student who was murdered while jogging on the University of Georgia campus. Her murderer, Venezuelan illegal alien Jose Ibarra, was previously arrested in the US, but was never held by federal immigration authorities. He was convicted of Riley's murder in November and sentenced to life in prison.
