The Catholic bishop of El Paso's Parish has joined the anti-Trump protest to condemn the president's “immoral” immigration policy.

Seits said he opposed the “harsh rhetoric” against immigration and found that bishops from Mexico and Canada would also attend the rally.

Seits has attacked Donald Trump many times in the past. He is the chairman of the Catholic Bishops' Committee on Immigration Committee, and testified before the House Judiciary Committee in 2015, denounced officials who wanted to send “unaccompanied” immigrant children back to their homes that they were not “compassionate.”
“Americans are compassionate people, so don't drive them away or drive them away. We shouldn't turn our backs on these kids.” I cried out During his testimony.

The US Congress of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has been under attack on Trump since winning the presidency last year. Last month, the USCCB sued the Trump administration for cutting off a tide of millions of aid to immigrants that were directed to church funding by the Biden administration.

The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the Hebrew Immigration Aid Association (HIAS) have announced cuts in employees and services after the Trump administration reduced USAID funding.
