At least 16 injured when roof collapses at massive Pitt party

At least 16 people were injured when the roof collapsed “in a flash with the eyes” at a massive bash near the University of Pittsburgh on Friday.

One person standing under the collapsed roof was no longer injured and mourned the harsh end of the festival.

“It just fell,” Carlton Gbur said I told CBS“Everyone was having fun, and no one was having fun.”

Sixteen students were taken to hospitals in the area where they were suffering from various injuries, and three were in serious condition. According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

It includes the most serious concussion and arm and leg injuries, local officials told the outlet.

At least dozens of others were treated for minor injuries on the scene.

Other witnesses say the cave happened before everyone reacted to a minor catastrophe.

“It all happened in the blink of an eye. The roof just fell on us. It felt so scary. I really don't have the words to understand how I felt in that moment,” Michael Estsin told CBS News.

Authorities estimate that as many as 500 people are packed into the courtyard shared by several homes.

According to Exguchi, the house was deemed safe after the incident, but the porch is being blamed.
