Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) received a wave of criticism on Friday when he announced plans to trade with Tesla in protest against President Elon Musk and President Donald Trump.
Kelly Share In the X video, he pointed to Tesla and said he was driving to finally get his job. “When I bought this, I didn't think it would be a political issue.”
He claimed that every time he drives an electric vehicle over the past 60 days or so, it “remindes me of how much damage Elon Musk and Donald Trump are causing our country.”
The senator said it was time for an upgrade. “It turns out I'm a person who hates things like Elon Musk, and I don't want to drive a car that's built and designed by people I don't like.”
Social media users have been saying all sorts of things about Kelly's X post. write“You're so brave! Watch as you go! Captain America is all here.”
“Do you think Elon cares? He's already made a profit from you, now you're owing a waste of money on your purchase price…. Like a typical politician wasting money!” Someone else. I commented.
Another person I asked“Do I have it? My truck broke down and I really managed to use the car. Just say. Some Americans don't like owners of car companies, so they don't have the option to just give up on the car.”
“I'm sorry you hate America so much.. I'm so sad.” I answeredamong someone else I said“But don't give up on your X account?”
“Let's take a look at your climate-friendly new Chevrolet Tahoe. A great choice. By the way, did you fly privately to Ukraine last week?” Another user I answered to the Senate post.
Kelly's announcement was one of the latest examples of leftists claiming to trade or sell Teslaev in protest of Musk's Trump support. Musk has been CEO of Tesla since October 2008.
“Encouraging celebrities to label a Tesla vehicle as “sw” is now a signal of virtue on the left,” Breitbart News said earlier this month. Report By Guardian.
In a recent interview, Kelly claimed that the Musk Reed Government Efficiency Office (DOGE), which targets government waste, is ruining people's lives, Breitbart News reported.
However, a recent vote by Harvard Cap/Harris found that Doge's mission under the mask was extremely popular with the public as of February.
