US Vice President JD Vance warns that if Europe undermines Western freedom and continues to engage in large-scale migration policies, it will put “civilized suicide” at risk.
In an interview with Fox News' Lowline Graham on Friday evening, Vice President Vance doubled criticism of the globalist agenda that controls much of Europe, and warned that it was the downfall of the “cradle of Western civilization.”
“The whole idea of Christian civilization that led to the establishment of the United States was formed in Europe: cultural ties, religious ties – these things will continue beyond political disagreements,” Vance said.
“But I think I was saying this about Europe and, frankly, America a year ago.
Vance particularly highlighted the open border agenda that has come to dominate much of Europe over the past decade, and the increasingly authoritarian speech restrictions imposed by the EU and perhaps liberal governments of the UK.
“They are countries that they can't control or hate their borders… You're starting to restrict their citizens' freedom of speech. [US President] Donald Trump and many European leaders have been elected,” he said.
The Vice President said the issues facing Europe will affect the United States as well, noting that illegal immigrants entering Europe without proper review can use it as a springboard for America.
Vance previously highlighted recently enacted censorship laws in the UK and the European Union, allowing regulators to impose billions of dollars on American social media companies.
“I want Europe to flourish. I want them to be an important ally. Part of that will be Europe that respects their own sovereignty and respects America's inability to do its job for them,” Vance said.
“If there's a country like Germany, if there's millions of immigrants coming from a country that's not culturally compatible at all, it doesn't matter what you think of Europe. Germany would have killed itself. I love Germany, so I hope they don't. I want Germany to flourish.”
The Vice President's comments reflect a message he delivered at the Munich Security Conference in Germany in February. The Globalist Annual Meeting usually focuses on issues of war and defense, but Vance said that Europeans gather at the summit and that the biggest threat facing the continent is those who destroy freedom from within, not from outside actors like Russia and China.
