Witkoff says administration is ‘exploring’ alternatives for Gaza relocation

Steve Witkoff, the Trump administration's special envoy group, said the administration is “exploring” an alternative to the relocation of Palestinians after President Trump said he would take over Gaza to rebuild after the war with Israel.

Host Margaret Brennan asked Witkov about the regime's plans to relocate 2 million Palestinians in Gaza, saying he had previously said he would work with Egypt and Jordan.

“I mean, I think we are exploring all the options and options that will lead to a better life for Margaret, Gazanians. “So we are exploring all of them.”

Trump has doubled his proposal to the US to take responsibility for the Gaza Strip, which is now controlled by the Palestinian extremist group Hamas.

The president proposed to turn the land into a “Middle Eastern Riviera,” sharing artificial intelligence videos that envisage strips, saying Palestinians would relocate forever after the war.

The idea was accompanied by a lot of criticism, but Witkov sidelined his concerns and highlighted the US proposal sent to Hamas.

“Now, for me, we have made a very wise proposal at the table, which has reached a final resolution that would have taken some demilitarization of Hamas, which was meant to be the bridge to reach the final discussion and final resolution here.

“Even so, Hamas came up with their own structure and essentially denying what we discussed, and in my mind it was a rather poor ending and I hope they rethink it,” he continued. “Because the alternatives aren't very good for them.”
