LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) told Breitbart News alone on Sunday that he was suing California to bring election practices in line with federal law and constitutional law.
As reported previously by Breitbart News, Issa and Judicial Watch are appealing to California to end their practice of counting votes received up to seven days after Election Day.
In a series of text messages, Issa said:
1. What you're seeing in Washington now is that the US government has been brought back to the American people. They also have to do the same by fixing a broken system of elections. Especially in California, when election day is Election Month and votes count until Democrats are declared the winner.
2. Ten years from the year, we see Republicans win election night after votes are discovered, counted, and Democrats are counted and certified to declare winners.
3. All we want is to follow written laws and apply written constitutions.
4. Another: The manipulation of election laws to favor Democrats has done a major damage to the credibility of elections in California. Let's restore the rule of law and constitutional standards on behalf of all voters and on behalf of all votes.
Issa added: “The Democrats have registered non-citizens with motor vehicle voters, have gone door-to-door votes and have changed rules for decades to make profits, when they stand up to protect the integrity of the election process.”
