On Monday, the IDF issued a statement about the sudden movement. It warns against attacking Hamas terrorist targets.

“In the political Echelon direction, IDF and Singh bets are broadly attacking Hamas terrorist targets across the Gaza Strip,” IDF and Singh Bett said in a subsequent joint statement, adding that additional details will be provided soon.

Netanyahu's office also states that Hamas “rejected all offers its acceptance” from US envoys to Middle East Steve Witkov, or intermediaries of the ceasefire agreement.

Netanyahu's office noted that Israel aims to achieve the Israeli war objectives by necessary means.

“From now on, Israel will act against Hamas as its military power grows,” Netanyahu's office said, adding that plans to resume the IDF operation were approved by political Echelon last week.
