During Monday's broadcast, Daily Show Host John Stewart tore “Fekless” Demos, especially Dem. Senator Chuck Schumer – Because of their total collapse in last week's budget debate.
Schumer was widely laughed last Thursday as even his own supporters fell into a continuing resolution that Trump supports to fund the government. The criticism was so strong that top Senate Democrats canceled the scheduled tour due to “security concerns.”
The Senate Democrat surrender brought Stewart down and pushed him to accuse Democrats of not equipping any kind of resistance against Trump at all.
Stewart comically began his bit, assuming that Schumer must have won some concessions for the vote in favor of Trump's budget proposal. “Maybe you've got a little bit more from now on?” he asked. “You wouldn't have given that strong leverage on your budget anything. My guess is that Chucky got the cheese.”
But then he noted the reality that Schumer and the Democrats hadn't won any concessions, and chuckled the senator as “a dishonor over Jewish stereotypes regarding financial negotiations.”
“What are you doing?! And your people who felt this was a complete surrender felt that Sen. Schumer was still too strong, so it wasn't the moment Democrats pressed for their case,” explained Stewart.
“But apparently the grand plan is pitiful dems complaining. [Trump’s] The 48% approval will be 40, which is a plan, but we forget one important piece of information in Schumer's popularity calculations,” he cried before revealing that Democrats have 27% approval.
Stewart also accused Schumer of his claim that he was talking to Republicans when he went to the Senate gym and exercise.
“A lot of the restraint disappears as I gasp next to the Republican as I ride that bike in my shorts,” Schumer said.
Stewart roasted the schumer over the comments.
“Is that your fucking plan?” I hang a ball from my shorts in the gym. Oh, they'll lose all the restraints of the equipment. “You actually know, Chuck, I want to work with you about Medicaid reform and I didn't tell anyone this, but I once twitched a guy in the park,” the host of the comedy show said.
“In the gym, they want you to leave them alone, so they're just comfortable with you!” Stewart concluded. “But I have to say something to you. To pedal really hard and not go anywhere is a great parochial phor for Democrats right now,” he laughed.
