Beef between LeBron James and Stephen A. Smith has become more complicated. Golden State Warriors power forward and James' ride-or-die Draymond Green joined the chat.
Here's a summary for those who missed it: On March 6th, James faced Smith Courtside while playing against the Lakers' Knicks. Smith spoke the following day on “The Stephen A. Smith Show” and was furious at Smith's previous comments that Smith had been pushed prematurely by his father James and Bronnie was pushed into the NBA by his father James. Smith called public conflict “weak” and “bull**t.”
Last Saturday, on “The Draymond Green Show,” Green was involved in the feud, apparently taking LeBron's side.
“You call this African American, this black father and go on national television. He raised another black young man. Will you call him as father because his son will play in the NBA?

The fact that Smith is doing his job and catches so many Flaks because it's “really unfair” to him, Steve argues.
Jason agrees that it's unfair to Smith, but he also speculates that some of the rebuttals are “manufactured.”
Still, he accuses Green's comments of toxicity. In particular, LeBron focuses on being a black father.
Whitlock can't understand why it means “more melanin on your skin.”
“There are special rules for black people that they have to adhere to, to normalize this and be sent to the youth, or they may be outside the norm… I can't believe that's where we are as a society,” he says. “LeBron James is a billionaire Billionaire. Does he need a special level of treatment due to slavery and Jim Crow's laws that ended decades ago?
Steve agrees, promoting a quote from Thomas Sowell, who captures the double standard green.
