After the first day of the madness of March, the second day began an epic battle.
The 9th seeded Baylor Bears squealed slightly at a game that came down to the wire, beating No. 8 Mississippi State 75-72.
Baylor Coastted over 11 leads in the second half for the first 30 minutes of the game. But Mississippi has been pulled away.

With the opportunity to clean up the game with 0.5 seconds left, Baylor went to the free throw line, but missed it. It gave the Bulldog a timeout and the opportunity to prepare for prayer.
With 0.2 seconds left, they started Hale Mary, who missed over the half court, giving Baylor the victory.

Robert O. Wright III led Baylor with 21 points, with three other players (VJ Edgecombe, Langston Love and Norchad Omier) also finished in double digits.
Josh Hubbard's game-high 26 points wasn't enough for the Bulldogs.

Perhaps aside from the wild upset from Mount St. Mary, the Bears will face Duke, a favorite to win it all.
