Joe Biden’s Offer to Help Dems Campaign ‘Seems to Have Fallen Flat’

Former President Joe Biden is reportedly trying to return to the good bounty of Democratic leaders by offering to raise funds, campaign or anything else to help the party get back to the ground after the defeat in November. It has been reported on friday.

People near the former president told the outlet he personally met with New Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Ken Martin in February, saying he offered his help as the votes show the party's popularity has subsided.

“So far, Biden's overture appears to have been flattened. Democrats find themselves drifting and casting for a compelling messenger,” the report reads. “It's not Biden, but many party activists and donors argue. He has led to a 2024 defeat, and at age 82, they claim that he is more of a symbol of the party's past than the party's future. ”

A leading Biden supporter who spoke to the outlet on condition of anonymity said, “Who will Joe Biden be back in the game?”

A close proximity to former first lady Jill Biden said she and her husband are settling in life in Delaware and are also ready to campaign and raise funds for the Democrats. Each of Biden has plans to write a book – Joe Biden is working on his memoirs and the theme of “having” The report talks to former senior administration officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, national security adviser Jake Sullivan and senior White House advisors Mike Donilon and Steve Richetti.

The former president is traveling between his home in Delaware and DC for a meeting in federal-provided office space, the report continues.

The report stressed that Democrats were not “unanimous” for help from Biden, but some party activists still believe there is praise for the former president.

“When I call the party chairperson and ask if Joe Biden wants to be the keynote speaker for his annual dinner, the answer is yes. He is loved by the party and loved by the voters.” DNC vice-chairman Jane Cleeve told the outlet.

Other Democrats don't want to remind voters of their failed 2024 presidential election, so instead find a unified message from the younger leader.

Philadelphia's democratic fundraiser Alan Kessler said there are many people in the party saying he is “clearly very unhappy” about how the election took place.

Kessler argued that Biden is still a party's asset at the right time and could campaign in certain locations, such as his hometown in Scranton, Pennsylvania. But Kessler said that time wasn't now, adding, “It's time to move on with new leadership.”
