The University of Maine system is currently complying with Trump administration orders, banning men identifying men from competing in women's sports.
A statement from the US Department of Agriculture said the University of Maine System (UMAINE) would comply with the Trump administration's orders, except to compete for women's sports after university funding was suspended amid continuing refusing to comply.
“After the USDA launched a Title IX compliance review on federal funds, the University of Maine System (UMAINE) has clearly communicated the requirements for Title IX for women and girls to compete in safe and fair sports, as has been clarified to President Donald J. Trump's Presidential Singing,” the USDA statement read.
“False claims by Umaine can pose troublesome and potentially criminal financial liability.”
