Representative Mike Lawler (R-NY) said on CNN's “Newsnight” on Thursday that Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has repeatedly said Democrats were sending protesters to Republican city halls.
“Let's assert as a member in the swing district. It's okay. I'm continuing to do people's events, including today, when climate activists were protested. It's okay,” Lawler said.
He continued. “Chuck Schumer went on the airwaves. Today, he said he's organising to send protesters to New York's Republican district, including us, and they're working.
“It's a democracy and that's fine, but don't act like organizing a Democratic activist,” Lawler said.
