Attorney General Pam Bondy warned Rep. Jasmine Crockett, de Texas, to “step very carefully.”
“She's an elected civil servant, so nothing happens to Elon Musk, so she needs to step very carefully. We're going to fight to protect all Tesla owners in this country.”
She reiterated her previous pledge that widespread violence against Tesla owners and dealers (who saw electric cars engulfed in flames and tainted by hostile images) would “stop.”
Crockett's under-representation came during a nationwide call with Tesla's takedown movement. Tesla owners are a self-explanatory “peaceful protest platform” that requires Tesla owners to sell their vehicles and everyone to dump stock from EV providers.
“March 29th, that's my birthday,” Crockett told the group, referring to the company.
“All I want to see is that all I want to happen on my birthday is that Elon is being dropped off,” she added. “When I was on the Doge Oversight Committee, I learned that there is only one person my staff now understand and that language is money.”
Crockett went on to clarify that her call for action is “non-violence” and that she is figuratively “fighting” for democracy.
“We are peaceful and loving people and we know that this is not about violence,” she partly added.
Meanwhile, Republicans accused Crockett of inciting violence against EV providers with her rhetoric.
Three people accused of damaging Teslas and EV charging stations amid the Department of Justice's crackdown on violence are in prison for up to 20 years on suspicion of “domestic terrorism.”
“People need to know that the three currently detained have serious and quick consequences… We haven't separated from these accusations, especially when this is a collaborative effort, we see everything. This is domestic terrorism,” Bondy said.
