Former White House ethics attorney Norm Eisen criticized the Trump administration on Monday regarding its recent deportations, which are facing scrutiny for their possible breach of court orders.
“Anderson, what kind of nation have we become if innocent individuals are being sent back to perilous regions in foreign nations without valid reasons?” Eisen stated during his highlighted appearance on CNN with Anderson Cooper. By the media.
Eisen mentioned that he “filed a brief on behalf of nearly 20 conservatives who limited governmental authority and portrayed this as a breach of conservative principles.”
On Monday, a judge from a federal appeals court accused the Trump administration of making efforts to implement a rapid deportation using alien enemy statutes.
“There were numerous individuals. No measures were taken to inform them. The Nazis had better treatment under the alien enemy statute than what occurred here.”
Earlier this month, President Trump invoked the alien enemy laws and swiftly deported over 200 migrants to El Salvador.
Critics argue that the administration is undermining safeguards for constitutional due process.
Trump and his administration have impeded U.S. District Judge James Boasberg. Judge Boasberg’s order thwarted the administration from applying alien enemy laws to deport Venezuelans.
“I’m simply executing what voters wanted me to do,” Trump stated earlier this month on his Truth Social Platform. “This judge should be removed, like many of the corrupt judges I am compelled to face!!!”
Oka has reached out to the White House for a response.
