Lawmakers look to reel in rogue judges defying Trump

Republican lawmakers in the House and Senate are leading the charges to dismantle President Donald Trump's executive order with a nationwide injunction.

In recent weeks, several federal judges have blocked Trump's executive orders, trying to curb the administration's MAGA orders. Most notably, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg blocked the Trump administration's deportation of illegal Venezuelan immigrants belonging to Gang Tren de Aragua.

“The US government cannot function if our commander's legal order could be invalidated on the whims of a single district court judge.”

Trump himself called for the bounces of judges like Boasberg, who use the litigation path to curb the administration. At the same time, lawmakers like Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee are doing what they can to support the president.

Lee introduced the Detention Judicial Activists Act on Monday. This will establish a three-judicial district court to confirm the judgment against the administrative department. The panel will be appointed by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, which consists of a circuit judge and two district judges.

“If our commander's legal order could be invalidated on the whims of a single district court judge, the US government cannot function.” I said Monday. “We have seen them assume they will run the HR departments of the military, civil servants, foreign aid and the entire administrative sector.

Similar efforts have been made on the House side along with Republican Rep. Darrell Issa of California. The bill is restricted as district judge power imposes a nationwide injunction and votes are set in the House next week.

“We are not a country under the judge,” Issa said. I said Thursday. “To stop President Trump, the Rogue judges are crossing the line, so we have to stop them.”

Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, is also scheduled to hold a hearing in Boasburg next week. Other Republicans, like Rep. Brandon Gill of Texas, are taking these efforts further, featuring articles from Merge each against judges such as Boasberg, Paul Engelmeyer, Judges Amir Ali and John Bates.

“Judge Boasberg appears to be operating purely politically against the President, and that's what we want to hear. I said Monday.

“Activist judges know exactly what they're doing,” Gill said. I said Tuesday. “If their lawless ruling was overturned by appeal, they would have wasted President Trump's precious time. The American people would never come back then, which is why we must act quickly.”

At the same time, not all Republicans are keen on this bullet each effort. Since each will require a simple majority in the House and two-thirds of the Senate, it is unlikely that Boasberg and other activist judges will be officially fire each. Republican leadership is also enthusiastic about alternatives to perpetrators like Issa's bill, and has been embraced by Mike Johnson (R-La.) and House majority leader Steve Scullies (R-La.).

Trump pushed for the bluff each, but Judge Roberts issued a rare statement on the idea.

“For over two centuries, it has been established that each is not an appropriate response to differences in opinion over judicial decisions,” Roberts said. I said. “There is a normal appeal review process for that purpose.”
