World Central Kitchen (WCK) said an Israeli military strike killed one of the volunteers of a charity group working in the Gaza Strip and injured six others.

This week's strike occurred less than a year after an Israeli strike killed seven of WCK volunteers on April 1, 2024.
The nonprofit, founded by celebrity chef Jose Andres, has halted operations in the enclave after the April 1 strike. Later that month, WCK CEO Erin Gore said the charity group would “continue to bring as much food as possible to Gaza.”
“The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains miserable. We are resuming operations with the same focus on feeding the same energy, dignity and as many people as possible,” Gore said.
