Yosemite National Park employee dies from mysterious injuries in staff housing

According to the National Park Service, federal authorities are investigating the woman after she was found dead in Yosemite National Park last week after being found dead in serious injuries.

“NPS is investigating the death of a woman injured in a concessioner housing in the Yosemite Valley on March 20th,” the spokesperson said in a statement in Fox News Digital.

The 34-year-old woman from Fresno, California, was found to be seriously injured within the employee's housing department after a law enforcement ranger responded to a medical emergency call.

The woman identified as a Yosemite hospitality employee was taken to a local hospital and died of injuries the following day, Fresno County Sheriff's Office spokesman Tony Botti said in a statement in Fox News Digital.

Park rangers who answered the call believe that they may be suspicious of the circumstances surrounding the woman's injuries and death as the investigation remains ongoing.

The NPS of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of California and the Fresno County Sheriff's Office are investigating the case.
