Authorities said the Chopper was not equipped with a flight recorder and no video or camera recorders were recovered.

Furthermore, none of the helicopter's onboard audio recorded information has been recovered, the release said.

Many of the decimated helicopters have been recovered, including the cockpit and cabin, the front part of the tail boom, horizontal stabilizer finlets and vertical fins, NTSB said in the release. The main rotor blades were not found yet.

All the remains from the tragic craft have been transported to the NTSB Institute in Washington, DC as part of the investigation, but the cause has not yet been determined.

The agency revealed that the last major helicopter inspection was conducted on March 1st.

On Thursday, the Bell 206 L-4 helicopter was behind a tourist trip up the Hudson River, carried by a family of five from Spain as they fell violently from the air into the frigid cold waters.

Augustine Escobar, Merce Montal and their three children – Augustine 10, Mercedes, ages 8, 4, all died in helicopters piloted by Navy veteran Sean Johnson.
