Adams was joined by New York City Department of Transport Commissioner Idanis Rodriguez, who translated while the mayor offered patriots to the community.

“[It’s] One thing I read about tragedy is that it’s one thing to see it on the news, but the impact of being here and the faces of those we’ve lost is what I had to do.”

The mayor was invited by the consul general to mourn with the victims’ families and members of the family.

“We have one million Dominicans in New York. They believe in their families. They believe in their faith. They believe in public safety. They believe in children,” he said.

Adams filmed scenes of the collapse and observed memorials and photos from the tour show.
