The woman who allegedly killed her 7-year-old daughter was extremely upset by her immigrant status, the woman’s fiancé says.
Graciela Castellanos, 37, is the main suspect in the death of his daughter’s drows in Los Angeles’ Van Nuiss area on Friday. Castellano’s fiance said KABC-TV She was a good mother, but there was an episode of mental illness.

Castellanos’ fiance says that she was suffering from the episode, causing her to scream and quarantine until they passed, but he insisted that she was not violent. He said they were planning to marry in about two months and he was planning to adopt the woman’s daughter.
Los Angeles police have released few details about the incident as an investigation is underway.
Her fiance also said she fell into deep depression after learning that Castellanos might not become a legal resident.
Castellanos was arrested and booked into prison on $2 million bail.
A resident of the Van Nuiss district told Kabc above the girl screaming “Mama, please. Mom, no, no.”
