The White House accused Congressional Democrats of prioritizing “an illegal immigrant gang members” rather than their own members.
“It’s surprising the Democratic priorities of today’s Democrats,” White House press chief Carolyn Leavitt told reporters Tuesday.
“I think it’s brutal that you have Democrats in Congress on Capitol Hill. They’re spending their time protecting their members, vowing to serve them, vowing to serve them, and defending members of illegal immigrant gangs more than their own members and law-abiding American citizens,” Leavitt said.

Comment is D-Md. With Sen. Chris Van Hollen of the Trump administration’s Justice Department confirmed that if residents did not return to the US “midweek,” they would have been deported to El Salvador for “administrative errors.”
Trump administration officials and El Salvador President Naive Buquere agreed that they have no authority to return Maryland resident Abrego Garcia at the White House on Monday.
Additionally, the Supreme Court on Thursday said, “responding to a lower court order demanding that the government “promote” the release of Abrego Garcia from custody in El Salvador and ensure that his case will be processed if he is not inappropriately sent to El Salvador.
Attorney General Pam Bondy told reporters Monday that El Salvador will call for a final shot on whether to return Maryland residents, but Buquere told him that it was “absurd” that El Salvador would do so.
“How can I smuggle terrorists into the United States?” Bukel said Monday at the White House. “I don’t have the power to bring him back to the US.”

Meanwhile, Van Hollen announced Monday that if Garcia fails to return to the United States due to “midweek,” he will personally travel to El Salvador to check Garcia’s happiness and liberation.

“Kilmer Armando Abrego Garcia should never have been accused and deported illegally, the court has made it clear. The administration must bring him home,” Van Hollen said in a statement Monday. “However, the Trump administration appears to be ignoring these court orders, so additional steps need to be taken.”
