Trump Administration Provides Drone Updates

Transport Secretary Sean Duffy has provided an update on upcoming drone activities, contrasting with the Trump administration’s “radical transparency” and the previous administration’s lack of power.

“Remember the drone fiasco under the last administration a few months ago?” Duffy asked in a video posted to X. He lived in New Jersey at the time and confirmed he was “deeply worried” about the mysterious drone of unknown cause.

“This administration takes a completely different approach – radical transparency. As part of that mission, we want to share an update on what we are doing to protect you and the drones,” Duffy said.

Duffy explained that these tests will be conducted to “ensure that drones can be properly detected in the airspace and not interfere with the aircraft navigation system,” and said it will inform residents when and where these tests will occur.

“The FAA operates over 100 non-commercial drones, from everything you’re like the drones behind me to much larger vehicles,” he continued, noting that the affected communities are being warned.

The tests were completed on Friday, April 25th, and Duffy has promised that Trump Dot will continue to provide Americans with “this kind of candid behind the scenes update.”

“You deserve a government that is always transparent about what we are seeing and what we are doing,” he added.

The drone mystery plagued the country at the end of 2024, causing serious concern as the Biden administration failed to provide a clear or concise answer to the drone. At the time, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a joint statement claiming that “at this time there was no evidence that reported drone sightings pose a national security or public safety threat or had a foreign Nexus.”

White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt said the “mystery” drones flying across New Jersey and other parts of the country were actually approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that provided an update from the Trump administration shortly after President Donald Trump took office. It remains unclear why the Biden administration failed to provide important details.

“Directly from President Trump, the latest news on New Jersey drones,” Levitt said at the time. “After research and research, drones that were flying in large quantities through New Jersey were allowed to fly by the FAA for research and various other reasons.”

It should be noted that Leavitt did not provide details on what this “study” entails or what “various other reasons” were.

She also said that some of the drones discovered were “lovers, recreational and individuals who enjoy flying drones.”
