Michelle Trachtenberg died of complications from diabetes: officials

Michelle Trachtenberg’s cause of death has been revealed as a complication of diabetes, authorities confirmed Wednesday.

New York City’s Chief Medical Laboratory confirmed to Fox News Digital that she died naturally from complications of diabetes, citing the results of the lab.

The causes and methods of death were revised after reviewing her clinical laboratory results.

Her cause of death was previously listed as “undecided.”

Her family said after her death they didn’t want an autopsy, and the inspector’s office agreed because there was no suspicion of foul play.

The “Gossip Girl” star was found to be unresponsive in her Manhattan apartment on February 26th. She was 39 years old.

Trachtenberg met Sarah Michelle Gellerthe show’s lead was working on “All My Children” in 1994, and the two remained nearby before the actress joined “Buffy” in the fifth season.

“I’ve known Sarah ever since we worked with ‘all my kids’,” Tratchenberg previously told the BBC. “We worked together for about two and a half years and have been in touch throughout the year when she moved to Hollywood and began building her career from that point on.”

Trachtenberg gained additional fame as Georgina sparked “Gossip Girl.” She starred in the hit drama series alongside Blake Lively, Layton Meester, Ed Westwick, Chase Crawford and Penn Bajrie.

She also appeared in “The Ice Princess” and “Eurotrip.”
