‘The West as We Knew it No Longer Exists’ Says EU Boss in Dig at Trump

The “end of history” is over, and Europe is experiencing a “transatlantic crisis,” says Ursula von der Reyen, who was converted to the European Commission by former Angela Merkel Acolite.

Another, new European Union is necessary to form the “New World Order” that emerges from the power struggle between the United States, China and Russia. He told a German newspaper.

I’ll talk Die Zeittop Eurocrat, has expressed an interpretation of the event “Western where we knew we no longer existed,” and the European Union has said that the European Union is currently working with us on the New Order, working with Canada, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, India, India, Malaysia, India, Philippines, Mexio and South America.

I was asked Die Zeit Whether she is currently the leader of the Western world is whether President Trump is currently in office – former German Chancellor Angela Merkel was called the same by liberal Europeans in Trump’s first term – and, if the EU is now the main guarantor of Western values, von der Leyen was deliberate, but made points repeatedly. She said: “When the wall fell in 1990, the end of history was declared.

“History is now back, geopolitics is back, and we see that what was perceived as a world order is becoming a global obstacle, especially caused by the power struggle between China and the United States.

Von der Leyen’s remarks are filled with implicit criticism of the Trump administration without mentioning him by name, repeated claims that the European Union will provide a heaven of stability during global change.

This is certainly a very charitable take, but it doesn’t have any merit. The European Union is so pervasive in bureaucracy that it is not possible to rapidly change the design. On the one hand, this may give an external impression of stability, but on the other hand, when the flash crisis appears, members are getting used to going outside the EU structure to agree to a quick solution among themselves while Brussels is scattered to catch up.

Such implicit criticism came to the United States from all angles. Among von der Reyen’s claims was that many democracies in Europe are so new that they are better democracies because fear of authoritarianism from Communist Eastern Europe to Fascist Iberia exists in living memories. This comes with the implicit claim that American democracy is weakened because its voters don’t understand what is at stake.

Nevertheless, despite the US and President Trump jabs, the Eurocrat head claimed he felt “a great friend of the United States, a convincing Atlantic.

Ursula von der Leyen was Germany’s infamous poor defense minister under Chancellor Angela Merkel. In 2019, she demonstrated fitness to a higher European office with the essential skills of going directly to the President of the European Commission and falling upwards.
