MLB suspends Yankees’ Jazz Chisholm Jr. one game for social media outburst after ejection

New York Yankees The second base-handed Jazz Chisholm Jr. was fined and one-game suspension after stagnating online and in-person after being kicked out after a controversial call in the team’s victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday.

Chisholm was kicked out in seven innings after insisting a third strike call from umpire John Bacon on the plate. After arguing on the plate, Chisholm was kicked out of the game.

According to MLB.com, Chisholm later joined social media to share his differences. He sent the post to X around 9:24pm. The post was sent while the game was still going on and quickly deleted.

The post was a clear violation of Major League Baseball. Social Media A policy that prohibits the use of electronic devices during gaming. According to the policy, “electronic devices” cannot be used until they are finished 30 minutes before the game begins.
