A small plane crashed over the weekend in central Illinois, killing four people, officials said.
Illinois State Police confirmed that four single-engine Cessna 180 residents were killed when they took off from Menomony, Wiscon on Saturday morning and the plane dropped near Trilla County Road 1400 at about 10:15am.
The crash happened hours after another small plane crashed into Nebraska’s Platte River, killing all three residents.
Kynnedi Goldstein, a witness to the Illinois tragedy, said she was at her home when the crash rocked the neighbours and took power.

“All of a sudden I sound like this noise, the whole boom. And our powers disappeared quickly.” She told CBS Chicago.
“So I’m going out to our solarium, and I look, and there’s a huge pile of smoke,” she said.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker said his administration is providing assistance to the National Transportation Safety Board as it investigates the incident.
“My administration is monitoring the situation that is being affected by the crash of our planes today.” Pritzker wrote for X. “Thank you to the first responder who came to the scene.”
Authorities have not yet identified the four people who died in the crash of the plane.
As of Sunday afternoon, shipwrecked planes remain on the road, streets are closed, and NTSB agents are expected to arrive on Monday. Local WGN TV reported.
Last week, in upstate New York, a small but powerful plane crashed, killing the family of doctors and advanced student-athletes.
The crash came just two days after a small plane went down and killed three people near Boca Raton Airport in Florida.
