President Trump is reportedly planning to withdraw another $1 billion in funds from Harvard University. This comes just a week after Ivy League schools freeze their $2.2 billion federal grants by refusing to make changes to curb anti-Semitism and overhaul admissions policies.
After a week-long escalating conflict, sources told the Wall Street Journal that the Trump administration is considering withdrawing another $1 billion from funding for school health research.
The retaliation was believed to remain personal after Harvard released a long list of requests from the Trump administration, sources said.
Trump officials had planned to treat Harvard more generously than Columbia, but changed courses after the president of the country’s most prominent university published the letter, including requirements to allow federal government admission, employment and ideology for students and staff.

Harvard President Alan Gerber wrote a letter from Trump’s new task force to combat anti-Semitism. “It’s not about working with us to deal with anti-Semitism in a cooperative and constructive way.”
Gerber added: “We have notified the administration through our legal advisor that we will not accept the proposed agreement.”
