NFL Draft rumors include 1 team hoping Ashton Jeanty falls to them and more trade candidates

One day, my dear reader.

Monday brings the start of a new work week and is one day closer to the 2025 NFL Draft. Don’t waste your time as this is time for a draft cycle where rumors really run through gear.

Can the team trade for the second place for Chedur Sanders?

The closer you get to the draft, the bigger the rumors.

Perhaps the biggest rumor that will appear on Easter Sunday is A story about professional football.

The team can trade with No. 2 Cleveland Browns Select quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

“And there’s one of the most uncertainties we’ve heard recently. At least one experienced and skilled talent rater thinks someone has the chance to trade to number 2 to get Sanders,” writes Florio.

Our own Jared Mueller also addressed the rumors, write Essentially doggy Such a move would be “impossible.” Many believe that Sanders is more likely to slip into the first round than the team trades to second place for him.

While it may seem like Sanders’ stock is falling, the Colorado quarterback has received support around the league. According to ESPN’s draft insider Jordan Reid, one assistant general manager said Reid was impressed with Sanders.Attitude at the site. ”

Now these may be the same person, and that’s possible too. However, please remember. To fall in love with a player, you only need one team.

Commander looking at wide receiver

Washington Commander It covers second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels, and has made several important additions to the offensive side of free agency football.

However, it appears they have not added weapons for talented young passersby.

According to Tony Paulinethe commander is about to add one or two receivers of this draft class. Washington already had a deal with Deebo Samuel this offseason, and although he may be an ideal match for Cliff Kingsbury’s offensive, he is currently under contract with Commander for more than 2025.

Pauline mentions Maryland WR Tyfelton as one option for commanders.

What’s difficult for Washington and general manager Adam Peters to navigate is the big gap between the second pick (29 in the second round and 61 overall) and the third pick (26 in the fourth round and 128 overall). Is Washington trying to fill that gap through trades and add a receiver third? Or will they stay at 61 and choose their favorite receiver?

Should Derrick Harmon already buy a house in Pittsburgh?

Last week we highlighted pre-draft rumours that included it Pittsburgh Steelerslinked Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon to the team. According to radio host Andrew Fillipponi, the Oregon DT emerged as the team’s “clear favorite” in the first round.

Now another NFL insider has added a voice to the chorus.

write Washington PostNFL insider Jason Lacanfora connected Harmon to Steelers. Lacanfora relayed one analysis of Harmon from an NFL evaluator.[Harmon] If you know what you’re doing, it fits whatever you want to do. ”

Certainly there seems to be a lot of smoke around this pairing.

It’s also worth noting Jerry Dulac Pittsburgh Post Gazette On Saturday, he wrote that it was “impossible” to take a quarterback on No. 21 while the team had a one-round record with Jaxson Dart and “likes” Sanders.

Will Jaguars surprise everyone?

Adam Shifter Monday’s line ESPN+ (subscription required) is filled with a fascinating bit of Intel before draft.

Such bits include Jacksonville Jaguar. Traditional wisdom believes Jaguar will draft Michigan’s defensive tackle Mason Graham with his fifth choice. However, Schefter libels this message from the league executive. “Jacksonville is a Wild Card – Watch.”

Who will the Jaguar choose in that place? Schefter mentions Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who has an ESPN insider note. That could be the kind of player that Liam Cohen, the new Jacksonville head coach who coached Evans in Tampa Bay last year, was to build his new Jaguar offense.

Surprise team to see Ashton Jeanti

Again from the Schefter column, ESPN Insider lists the surprise team to watch Ashton Janti.

Chicago Bears.

“There are several people who believe that the Bears are No. 10 and Jeanti prays for them to slip,” Shefater wrote. “They think New Bears manager Ben Johnson could feature Janty and Dandre Swift as a two-headed duo, just as the Lions did with David Montgomery and Yummy Gibbs when Johnson was Detroit’s offensive coordinator.”

What Chicago is doing in Johnson’s first draft with the Bears is fascinating to see. The idea that Johnson would push Ryan Pauls to build an offense similar to what he had in Detroit makes a lot of sense.

But the value that Value Jeanty offers might be too difficult to pass if he slides to No. 10.

Monitor candidates

A little more ESPN+ contentdraft analyst Matt Miller identified three teams that may be considering trading on Thursday night. Two teams are about to go down and moving up.

According to Miller Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Viking I want to move down. Carolina, a team linked with wide receivers and pass rushers, is looking to add more picks on the second day of the draft, taking into account the depths of these two position groups. The Panthers currently have nine draft picks. This includes two rounds in the fourth round and three picks in the fifth round, but on the second day it was 57 and 74.

Other trade down candidates? Minnesota Viking. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has one pick in the first round (No. 24), one in the third round (No. 97), one in the fifth round (No. 139), and one in the sixth round (No. 187). Minnesota would like to add more picks via tradedowns if possible. No. 24 could be a good spot for a team coming to draft quarterbacks.

As for the teams that are about to move up, not quarterbacks, Miller is Kansas City Chiefs As that team. Miller believes that what they like is necessary along the offensive line and that the Chief will go up if what they like slides the board.

ESPN Analyst taps Houston Texans At number 25 Los Angeles Rams Partner with the Chief at No. 26 as a potential trade.
