Pete Hegseth berates mainstream media at Easter Egg Roll over latest hit job: ‘Not gonna work with me’

Defense Secretary Pete Hegses fell into mainstream media Participation Easter egg rolls at the White House on Monday.

Hegseth responded to a report originally released by the New York Times, sending information about future military strikes against the Houthi terrorist group to a signal group chat with his wife, brothers and personal attorneys. The charges came after a leak that was equally embarrassing to the Atlantic Prime Minister’s editor.

“We changed the Department of Defense, brought the Pentagon back to the hands of fighters, and an anonymous smear from former employees who were dissatisfied with the old news isn’t important.”

Hegseth denounced the media while talking to reporters about the leak outside the White House.

“This is what the media does. They take anonymous sources from disgruntled former employees, and they try to cut people, burn them, ruin their reputation,” Hegses said.

“We’re not going to work with me as we’re changing the Department of Defense and bringing the Pentagon back to the hands of fighters. Anonymous smears of former employees who were dissatisfied with the old news aren’t important,” he added. “So I’m happy to be here on the Easter Egg Roll with my dad and my kids, because this is what we’re doing.”

He went on to point out all the reporters and describing them as “hoxstars.”

Hegseth’s brother and his personal attorney are both pentagonal employees, but according to the report, his wife is not an employee.

White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt defended Hegses from the charges.

“This is what happens when the entire Pentagon works against you and is opposed to the monumental change you are trying to implement,” she said.

When President Donald Trump was asked about the leaks of Hegustes, he responded with support from the Secretary of Defense.

“He’s doing a great job. Ask Hoosis how he’s doing,” Trump told reporters after the Easter Egg Roll.

Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell also criticised the media and downplayed the incident.

“Another day, another old story – Back from death. The media that hates Trump continues to be obsessed with destroying those who have committed to President Trump’s agenda,” he wrote on social media.

National Security Advisor Mike Waltz admitted that he accidentally added Atlantic Prime Minister editor Jeffrey Goldberg to the first Houthi Strike Signal Group and asked for his resignation, but he continues to serve at the Department of Defense.
